Frequently Asked Questions

About CardKai

What is CardKai?

CardKai is a premium graded-card store for collectors across Ireland, the UK and Europe. We sell independently graded ("slabbed") and premium raw Pokémon, One Piece, Dragon Ball and sports cards — curated, cert-verified, and photographed as the exact card you'll receive.

Where is CardKai based?

We're based in Dublin, Ireland, and ship across Ireland, the UK and Europe.

Buying & authenticity

Are your cards authentic?

Yes. Every graded card is independently authenticated by PSA, CGC, ACE, BGS or SGC, and every listing shows its certification number with a link to the grader's official verification page so you can check it yourself before you buy.

How do I verify a graded card is real?

Find the certification number on the slab, then enter it on the grading company's official cert-lookup page. On CardKai, the verify link is on every product page.

Is the card in the photo the one I'll receive?

For graded slabs, yes — always the exact item pictured. Raw singles may use a catalogue image, backed by our condition guarantee.

What condition are your raw (ungraded) cards in?

Every raw card is hand-inspected and graded for condition before dispatch. If we list it as Near Mint or Excellent, that's what you'll receive — or your money back.

Grading

What's the difference between PSA, CGC and ACE?

PSA has the widest global recognition and deepest resale market; CGC is a strong, EU-friendly independent grader; ACE is a UK/European grader known for value and distinctive slabs. Each listing states the grader so you can choose.

Which grading company is best in Europe?

For maximum international resale, PSA; for strong European recognition without transatlantic shipping, CGC; for value and UK/EU display, ACE.

Japanese cards

Do you sell Japanese cards?

Yes — Japanese Pokémon, One Piece and Dragon Ball cards are a core part of CardKai, in both graded and raw form. Japanese cards often have superior print quality and unique alternate arts.

Are Japanese Pokémon cards worth more than English?

It depends on the card. Japanese alt arts can be cheaper to buy but grade very well; certain English vintage first editions command the highest prices. Grade and specific card matter more than language alone.

Shipping & delivery

Do you ship to Ireland, the UK and Europe?

Yes — plus worldwide. Every order ships tracked, signed-for and fully insured, in discreet, protective packaging.

How long does delivery take?

Typically 1–3 business days within Ireland and 3–7 across the UK and EU. You'll get tracking by email on dispatch.

Will I pay customs or import charges?

Within the EU, no surprise charges. Orders to the UK or outside the EU may incur local import charges on arrival, set by that country's customs.

Is shipping free?

Free insured shipping on orders over €150; otherwise it's calculated at checkout.

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

Cards, Shop Pay, PayPal and (where available) Klarna/Clearpay so you can spread the cost.

What currency are prices in?

Prices show in EUR by default, with GBP for UK buyers.

Returns & selling

Can I return a card?

Yes — within 14 days of delivery under EU consumer law, provided the slab is intact and unopened. See our Returns & Refunds policy.

Do you buy or consign cards?

Yes — from a single grail to a full collection, we buy outright and consign. Tell us what you have via our Sell / Consign page and we'll reply within 1–2 business days.

Can you grade my cards for me?

Get in touch — we can advise on what's worth grading and help you get it done. Contact us with details and photos.
